Typing “airport job apply online” into Google or Facebook gives you hundreds of results, and many of them lead to fake forms, paid “registration” links or institutes selling courses. If you want a genuine loader, cleaner or customer service job at an Indian airport, the most important skill is knowing exactly where and how to apply.
This guide is about the application process. We explain which employers hire each role, how to read an official recruitment notice line by line, what the airport pass (AEP) process involves, how to prepare a CV for each role and how to spot fake links. Indicative salaries are included so you can judge whether an offer is realistic.
Loaders are mostly hired by ground-handling companies and airlines, cleaners by facility-management contractors, and customer service staff by airlines and ground handlers. This is an independent informational guide, not the website of any airport, airline or ground handler.

About Airport Ground Staff Careers in India
Indian airports are run by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) or by private operators such as DIAL in Delhi, Adani Airport Holdings in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and several other cities, GMR in Hyderabad and BIAL in Bengaluru. These operators manage the airport, but most frontline workers are employed by companies working inside it.
Ground handling has seen big changes recently. After the government revoked Turkish firm Celebi’s security clearance in May 2025, its staff and work at several airports were taken over by other handlers. New airports – Navi Mumbai (commercial flights from 25 December 2025) and Noida at Jewar (scheduled flights from 15 June 2026) – have added more jobs. Because the list of handlers at each airport can change, always check who is operating there now before applying.
Types of Jobs at Airports
Loader
Loads and unloads baggage, mail and cargo from aircraft and moves it to and from the terminal. Outdoor, physical work.
Cleaner
Cleans terminal floors, washrooms, gates, lounges and sometimes aircraft cabins between flights (cabin cleaning is usually done by handlers or specialised contractors).
Customer Service Agent
Assists passengers at check-in, transfer desks, boarding gates and baggage services.
Ramp Driver
Drives ground vehicles such as baggage tractors.
Cargo Helper
Supports cargo acceptance and storage at cargo terminals.
Wheelchair Assistant
Helps passengers with reduced mobility through the airport.
Airport Ground Staff Salary 2026

| Ramp Driver / Utility Agent | ₹18,000–26,000 |
| Cargo Helper | ₹13,000–19,000 |
| Housekeeping Supervisor | ₹18,000–26,000 |
| Cargo Supervisor | ₹25,000–38,000 |

Cargo Supervisor: Runs a shift at the cargo terminal, managing helpers, documents and dispatch. Indicative ₹25,000–38,000 per month.
Duty Officer: Supervises passenger services or ramp staff for a shift and handles operational problems. Indicative ₹32,000–45,000 per month; generally needs graduation and experience.
Airport Freshers Jobs
Freshers should match the role to their profile before applying. With 10th pass and good fitness, apply for loader or cargo helper. Many airport roles are filled through walk-in interviews mentioned in official notices. Read the walk-in date, time and venue only from the employer’s own website or document, not from a forwarded image.
